The Plan\, the result of a 2021 voter-approved property tax increase\, will provide the Community College District with an annual $30 million boost financed through a $350 million bond issue. The funds support projects to upgrade and modernize facilities on all STLCC campuses and expand programming in healthcare\, IT\, financial services\, biotech\, and manufacturing. \n\nBrief Speaker Bio: Jeff L. Pittman\, Ph.D.\, began his role as chancellor of St. Louis Community College in July 2015. He is responsible for guiding a multi-campus college system with four main campuses that offer college transfer options and more than 80 career-focused programs. STLCC is the largest higher educational institution in the region\, the third largest in Missouri\, and serves more than 45\,000 students annually. In 2021\, it was the first community college in MO to receive approval for a bachelor's degree program. Dr. Pittman earned a doctorate in educational leadership\, administration and foundations\, and a master's degree in human resource development from Indiana State University.
