The City of Kirkwood and Downtown Kirkwood Special Business District are proud to present the 7th Annual Route 66 Cars and Guitars Festival a celebration of our region's music and transportation history. This free outdoor festival brings together classic cars\, live music\, local food\, and family fun in the heart of downtown. This year's event features: Live music from six bands on two outdoor stages (staggered times) Carbs & Guitars Pancake Breakfast 8:30 11:00 a.m. | Fire House #1 on Argonne Drive | Presented by Kirkwood Rotary and Kirkwood Firefighters' Outreach A vintage car show showcasing classic and custom vehicles Vendor booths and food trucks Beer Wagon\, hosted by local service clubs\, serving beer and wine Downtown restaurants and shops are open for business Awards for Best of Show\, Distance Traveler\, and Club of the Year\, all sponsored by the Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce MUSIC LINE UP: Pre-Event Kickoff at 2:00 p.m. Kirkwood School of Rock House Band at Ken Connor Park (N. Kirkwood Rd & E. Argonne Dr.) West Jefferson Stage: 4:30 p.m. Voodoo Buffet 6:45 p.m. Rock Opera 9:00 p.m. Garden Party East Jefferson Stage: 5:00 p.m. Killer Wails 7:15 p.m. Funky Butt Brass Band 9:30 p.m. John Hughes Experience We recommend attendees bring their own lawn chairs for the musical performances. Taylor Avenues\, as well as Kirkwood Road between Argonne Drive and Adams Avenue\, will be closed to vehicular traffic starting early in the morning on June 9th.
