Here is a little about St. Louis CAPS:
The St. Louis CAPS (Centers for Advanced Professional Studies) is a choice program open to high school juniors and seniors that allows them to fast-forward beyond college and test-drive their future in high-skill and high demand career fields. Our program's primary school district partners are Affton, Bayless, Kirkwood, Lindbergh, and Mehlville; however, since the 2015 we have also served students from the Fox, Hancock, Rockwood, and Webster Groves school districts.
St. Louis CAPS is a proud program affiliate of the CAPS Network. The CAPS Network consists of 110+ affiliate programs across the U.S., Canada, and other international locals. All programs are guided by the CAPS Core Values which are the heart of true profession-based learning.
Our students engage in profession-based learning experiences located outside the walls of a traditional high school classroom. The students learn directly from business and industry professionals in places such as hospitals, small business incubators, nonprofits, and college campuses. Students complete projects directly from business partners and present their solutions to expert panels. The St. Louis CAPS program emphasizes professional etiquette, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Students begin to build their professional network while still in high school.
