Title: Architect
Reports To: Design Team Supervisor
Job Purpose: To support the success of all MBA businesses by providing architectural services.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage and create permit plans and all other architectural plans for MBA projects as needed
- Evaluate and improve current drafting processes and systems
- Provide technical support to teams as requested, including reviewing existing conditions
- Provide architectural services for Build Partner projects as needed
- Meet with internal clients like production to determine their project needs and requirements
- Provide superior customer service & building relationships
- Participate in seminars & other Mosby sponsored events as required
- Conduct feasibility reviews as needed
- Manage or ensure company alignment with municipality and county codes
- Maintain relationships with industry associations and businesses in the interest of MBA
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in Architecture
- Valid Missouri Architecture License strongly preferred (IL License a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in Residential Design preferred
- Minimum of 3 years working one-on-one with clients to determine their design needs, budget, material selections and executing sales contracts
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and CAD Programs (Chief Architect program is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to successfully manage several projects at a time
- Have & maintain clean, reliable transportation to use for client appointments around St. Louis and Southern Illinois
- Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms; occasionally requires the ability to lift supplies up to 50 pounds.
