Brad Sowers, president of Jim Butler Auto Group and his team, are revolutionizing the process of car buying and averaging huge revenue growth every year for his dealerships and overall business.
The key he says to Jim Butler’s success is simple: “digital” and customer service. “The key to our success is our digital footprint,” he said. “We have been very successful on line and also our customers say we are the best in St. Louis with our customers. Our referral base is great. We get a lot of business through our referral base.”
Sowers said Jim Butler’s websites drive behavior with actionable items. “We help a lot of people get a fresh start in the marketplace,” he said. Sowers said his company does business in seven states. Jim Butler has dealerships in Fenton, Crestwood and Chesterfield. Customer service is such an important part of the Jim Butler business, Sowers said. “We are focused with a lot of people who have kids and don’t have a lot of time to mess around,” he said. “We help them with service solutions to their cars, whether that is providing rental cars, drop off, picking and all those services are available. We will jump through any hoops, even if it means we have to come to your office to pick up the car.”
Jim Butler Auto Group encompasses several businesses, including Chevrolet, KIA, Maserati and Auto Plaza dealerships (each with a service center), luxury car sales, automotive extended service warranty sales, used vehicle sales, and several related businesses. Sowers is an entrepreneur with 20 years of team building, managing, marketing and sales experience prior to entering the automotive business in 2003.
Sowers spent the first decade of his career in the technology sector, holding a variety of executive positions including Vice President of Global Sales at Interphase, an information and communications technology company. He also served as Vice President at S2 Systems. His successful, non-traditional approach to growing business at the Jim Butler Auto Group has impressed customers and earned him a spot on the National Chevrolet Dealer Council. Under Mr. Sowers’ leadership during the past decade, Jim Butler Auto Group has grown revenue 123 percent, built a new dealership, relocated and added a number of profitable niches and new services.
During this time, the Chevy dealership was recognized as one of the fastest-growing Chevrolet franchises nationally and has earned numerous accolades including the General Motors “Mark of Excellence” award, the Women's Choice Award, and the Better Business Bureau ''Torch Award.'' Mr. Sowers’ entrepreneurial spirit and management approach empowers his teams to excel. He seeks out innovative ideas and guides them to fruition, creating profitable new ventures for the business. Sowers said he believes his group is leading a change in the way people buy & service vehicles. “We have designed and implemented a new process,” he said. “It's been fun to see the way we are changing business''
